Uzma Khan’s legal team to disassociate from violence case

Pakistani model-actress, Uzma Khan’s legal team decides to disassociate from the recent torture case. 

According to reports of Baaghi TV, Barrister Khadija Siddique who was part of Uzma Khan’s legal team in the recent case of violence has announced on Twitter that she no longer wishes to associate herself with the case.

According to reports, Siddique wrote, “I understand the reasons of any settlement by two aggrieved women in a rigged system, my conscience doesn’t allow me to be a part of any of that.”

It is to be noted that Uzma Khan and her sister, Huma Khan had made headlines for being victimized by relatives of business tycoon, Malik Riaz. It was reported at the time that daughters of the businessman, Amber Malik, Pashmeena Malika and Amna Usman Malik; had forced entry into the models’ house for having explicit relations with Malik Usman, husband of Amna Usman Malik.

It was further reported that Amna Usman Malik, along with her accomplices had allegedly thrown kerosene oil on the model sisters, and threatened them. Moreover, it was reported that Uzma Khan and her sister had struck a deal with the perpetrators following which, Barrister Khadija Siddique, has made the announcement to disassociate with the case.

Siddique further wrote, “my conscience doesn’t allow me to part of any of that, even in a professional capacity.” She added, that the struggle against lawlessness will continue.
