Islamabad: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, on the arrival of UN General Assembly President, Volkan Bozkir, he was received by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Volkan Bozkir also planted saplings at the State Department. Later, a meeting between Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and the UN General Assembly President is underway at the Foreign Ministry

Volkan Bozkir will also meet Prime Minister Imran Khan and other Pakistani officials.

It may be recalled that the newly elected President of the United Nations General Assembly Volkan Bozkir had arrived in Islamabad on a two-day visit to Pakistan.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will hold detailed discussions with the President of the General Assembly on issues related to peace and stability, development and human rights, the three main pillars of the UN goals.

The President of the General Assembly will also call on Prime Minister Imran Khan. His visit is an important opportunity to highlight, among other things, Pakistan’s strong and fundamental cooperation in the United Nations efforts to promote international peace and security, especially our cooperation in UN peacekeeping operations around the world.

Volkan Bazkir is the first Turkish citizen to be elected President of the UN General Assembly. He will chair the historic and important session of the General Assembly as the United Nations celebrates its 75th anniversary this year.

The Kashmir issue will also be raised by Pakistani officials during the UN General Assembly President’s visit. India has abolished the special status of Kashmir.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the United Nations would expose Indian terrorism before the General Assembly. I will put Pakistan’s position before the President of the UN Assembly. We want good bilateral relations with Bangladesh. We want a better future than the bitterness of the past.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi added that India’s relations with its neighbors were gradually strained. India is deteriorating relations with other regional countries due to Hindutva thinking.
