ISLAMABAD August 21, 2025: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Islamabad on Thursday to participate in the 6th Round of Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue on the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

According to the Foreign Office, Senator Ishaq Dar received Wang Yi at the Foreign Office, where both sides will hold high-level consultations aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation. The agenda includes the Sixth Strategic Dialogue, covering political, economic, security, and regional issues of mutual interest.

A day earlier, Wang Yi had landed in Islamabad on a three-day official visit. He was welcomed at Noor Khan Airbase by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

Diplomatic sources say the dialogue will provide an opportunity for both countries to review progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), enhance strategic cooperation, and discuss regional security challenges.

The visit reflects the enduring nature of Pakistan-China relations, often described as an “all-weather strategic partnership.” Both governments are expected to issue a joint statement following the conclusion of the talks.
