We will continue struggle to ensure equal rights for minorities: Bilawal Zardari

ISLAMABAD, August 11 (Online): PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said struggle will be continued for establishment of democratic society for the sake of equal rights to minorities so that every Pakistani could lead life according to one’s religion.

He said this in his message on national day for minorities on Tuesday.

He held they are real custodian of this vision of Quaid-e-Azam which was expressed  by him in his August 11 address. This vision lies embedded in the  spirit of 1973 constitution. Protecting the rights of minorities and empowering them is part of PPP manifesto.

PPP has always taken revolutionary steps for the uplift and rights of minorities. His party has ensured proper representation  of minorities in all institutions including parliament. Benazir  Bhutto had framed a separate ministry for the minorities.

Let us pledge today that we all despite being followers of different religions are one nation. We should pledge too to continue struggle for promotion of tolerance, harmony and prosperity in the country.
