Baaghi TV has learnt that a meeting of the High Level Policy Forum chaired by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Measures Asad Umar, focused on prioritizing youth action agenda.
According to reports, the meeting which was attended by multiple senior officials and Ministers including PTI leader Usman Dar, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan, Parliamentary Secretary Inter-Provincial Coordination Committee Saima Nadeem, and Parliamentary Secretary for Health Dr. Noshin Hamid, focused their attention on initiatives to empower the Pakistani youth.
PTI leader Usman Dar has commented that the previous governments failed to provide such initiatives, however, Federal Minister Asad Umar has guided us towards the launch of the National Youth Council.
According to reports, the government has launched a loan scheme of Rs.100 billion which will aid in this process. Rs.25 billion has bee specifically allocated for the female youth, meanwhile, 8,000 youth have so far joined. Moreover, it is estimated that by June, seven to eight thousand more will have joined the initiative.
Usman Dar further commented that for the first time, Pakistan is compiling the National Youth Development Index, a portal that will add with job search and welfare to the youth at the national level. He added that the establishment of such a program is essential to be able to make institutional reforms in the ministries for the youth.
