The funeral prayers of Khadim Hussain Rizvi, head of Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan, will be offered at 10 am at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore before Friday prayers. Thousands of Tehreek-e-Labaik workers will attend the funeral prayers of Khadim Hussain Rizvi, so his funeral prayers will be offered at the vast ground Minar-e-Pakistan.
It was earlier announced that the funeral prayer would be offered at three o’clock, but later the time of the funeral prayer was changed. Now the time of funeral prayer has been fixed at ten o’clock in the morning.
Khadim Hussain Rizvi belonged to Attock district of Punjab. In addition to memorizing the Qur’an, he was also a Shaykh al-Hadith and was fluent in Persian. His two sons have also been involved in various protests. Khadim Hussain was paralyzed following a traffic accident and could not walk without support.
Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi was born on June 22nd, 1966 to Haji Lal Khan in Attock district. He studied memorization and Tajweed from Jhelum and Dina madrassas, after which he completed Dars Nizami from Jamia Nizamia Rizviyah in Lahore. There are many different types of cases registered against him. Ejaz Ashrafi said that he does not remember the number of cases registered against the late Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi. However, he has not been arrested since the beginning of the movement. Maybe it’s because of his ‘street power’.
