Who has the ownership of PIA Roosevelt Hotel? Aviation Minister reveals all

Lahore, 2nd April: Important revelations have surfaced regarding the suspicions of who owns the PIA Hotel Roosevelt in the USA.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan has said that the ownership rights of Roosevelt in New York are with a subsidiary of PIA.

During the Question/Answer session in the National Assembly, on the question of Tahira Aurangzeb, Ghulam Sarwar Khan told the House that Roosevelt’s ownership is with a PIA subsidiary.

He said that eighty per cent of hotels in Manhattan including Roosevelt having been closed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

To the question of J. Prakash, the Federal Minister of Aviation said that the flights to Toronto have been reduced from 5 to 2, which is due to the coup.

He added that PIA has started two flights, as soon as the load increases the number will be increased. There will be a 50% reduction in flights and operations due to COVID-19, as conditions improve, it will be increased.

PPP leader Shazia Murree said that the issue of pilots is being ridiculed all over the world. To this, the Federal Minister said that I still adhere to the policy given in the House of Representatives. I worked for the betterment of the country.

He added that with the approval of the Cabinet, the pilots were fired. To date, no assets of PIA have been sold nor is there any program to sell PIA assets. The era of looting is over. The first institutions were sold in the name of repaying loans. There is no program of this government to sell institutions.
