Who will be playing the Muslim superhero in Ms Marvel?
1st October 2020: Marvel has found its Ms Marvel and they are planning to take a new actress Iman Vellani to star in its Disney+ series based on the comic-book character.
Marvel and the streamer recently named Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon as directors on the project.
Ms Marvel is a Pakistani-American girl Kamala Khan who lives in New Jersey, she is going to be the first Muslim hero appearing on screen for Marvel. It is also predicted that Kamala Khan will be coming in other big Marvel films as well.

Marvel always wanted to keep the character real even if it meant to introduce a new actor for the role who isn’t well known in the industry or people.
This will be Vellani’s first major role in Hollywood but she has also worked at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival where she was part of the Next Wave Committee.
