August 16, Islamabad: According to reports, on the occasion of Asif Ali Zardari’s appearance in the NAB courts, the NAB has written to the police and the administration to ramp up security arrangements. According to details, the National Accountability Bureau has written to the police and the administration to increase security measures in reference to Asif Ali Zardari’s appearance before the NAB court tomorrow.

Yesterday the ex-President Asif Ali Zardari chose to appear on 17th August in the Toshakhana case. Sources say that Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur will have reached Islamabad today, from Karachi. The PPP has decided on a full-fledged show of power during the appearance of Asif Ali Zardari for court proceedings.

According to sources the members of parliament of the PPP and of the People’s Lawyers Forum have been directed to be present in Islamabad tomorrow. It needs to be remembered that three days ago, Asif Ali Zardari had declared through an application along with a medical report submitted in the accountability court, that his doctors have forbidden him from travelling. The application said that he cannot appear in person on 17th August and therefore he must be allowed to present himself via video-link.

The accountability court, while rejecting the application for excusing himself in person from the Toshakhana Case, had issued a bailable arrest warrant and ordered him to ensure his presence on 17th August.
