Lahore, 12th March: Pakistan Democratic Movement’s lawmakers reportedly approached the Senate Security Chief regarding the CCTV footage of the Senate Elections.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, PPP’s Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar and PML-N’s Musadik Malik approached the Senate secretariat security chief on Friday and told him that he will be responsible if anything happens to the CCTV footage of the house.

The Opposition alliance has demanded yesterday’s CCTV footage in the upper house of the Parliament after PDM lawmakers claimed earlier today that spying devices were fitted in particular places to check who was voting for whom in the Senate Chairman Elections.

Khokhar and Malik together with other senators sought assurance from the Senate Secretariat security chief that nothing will happen to the footage.

Khokhar asked, “If it [footage] is destroyed, then it cannot happen without your consent, right?”

Malik also asked, “Sir, you are the head of security, please answer the question. Can the CCTV footage be destroyed or not?”

To this, the security chief replied, “Sir, the CCTV footage can only be destroyed if it is accessed.”

He added, “As of now sir, no one has accessed the CCTV footage neither have we received any such request.”

As per reports from Geo News, the PPP senator told the security officer that he fears the footage from the last couple of days may be destroyed.

Security Cheif assured the PDM senators, “Sir, whatever footage we have is saved,” and urged them to approach the speaker of the house for further action.

Security Chief said that they are not a party to anything.
