Why has Pakistan banned TikTok?

According to the report of Baaghi TV, PML-N leader, former Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal has demanded the lifting of ban on TikTok.
Ahsan Iqbal tweeted on social networking site Twitter that India and the United States had imposed a ban on TikTok as a measure against China, which he condemned. Ahsan Iqbal asked that Imran Khan’s government banned TikTok in Pakistan? We condemn it. And demand its restoration.

One user, in response to Ahsan Iqbal’s tweet, said, “Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, you don’t let any opportunity to lick China go in vain. Many Pakistani girls become Maryam Nawaz for fame on TikTok, which brings disgrace to her and her family.

The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) had banned China’s popular video-sharing app TikTok, saying it had decided to block the TikTok mobile application on all networks for failing to create an effective mechanism to block unethical content. Instructions were also issued to mobile phone companies.
