WMG, WorldCall enter into commercial cooperation
WorldCall Telecom Limited (WTL) and World Mobile Group (WMG) enter into a commercial cooperation deal with a focus on the dissemination of Blockchain services.
WTL and WMG are focused on actively bringing into action the Blockchain secured service management solutions in order to broaden avenues for network monetization. According to reports, the two had been working on measures to prepare for the agreement since as early as 2019.

The agreement is geared towards providing “affordable broadband connectivity” to users across Pakistan. Moreover, the company confirmed that its users would be linked to the latest digital landscape through a digital ID and a secure e-Wallet, by means of which they would have access to on-demand services including health, education, and others.
The move is being welcomed as Pakistan continues to adapt to digital technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to WorldCall Telecom, the company is “undertaking an aggressive roll-out with ‘Fiber To The Home’ (FTTH) and ‘Broadband for All’ projects”. It is pertinent to note that with this latest development in place, “subscriber signup and connectivity would be significantly higher in its current FTTH and Broadband for All projects”.
