World Leaders Congratulate Erdogan for Win | Baaghi TV

Many world leaders congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his win in the run-off election, in which he secured more than 52%, beating his top rival Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Erdogan was congratulated by Afghan political leaders including members of the interim government.

Islamic Emirate Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his win in the runoff election.

The PM said he hopes for the continuation of “friendly relations” between Afghanistan and Turkey, the Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.

Former President Hamid Karzai, and former chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation Abdullah Abdullah, congratulated Erdogan.

Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and the prime minister of Hungary, Orbán Viktor, were among the first to congratulate Erdogan.

“If there is stability in Turkey, this benefits us, Turkey, and the whole region. The Islamic Emirate wants good relations with Turkey,” said Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate.

“Regarding the situation in Afghanistan, this Erdogan is the same Erdogan who called for the reopening of girls’ schools and the inclusion of women in the society within an Islamic structure,” said Torek Farhadi, political analyst.

However, economists believe that Turkey can play an important role in economic improvements in the country.

“Turkey can play an important role in the betterment of Afghanistan’s economy because the Turkish companies in Afghanistan can invest in various areas from mining to industry,” said Seyar Qureshi, an economist.

Kabul Does Not Want Tension With Anyone Including Neighbors

Meanwhile, some of the Afghan refugees in Turkey also celebrated Erdogan’s win in the election.

“This win will benefit the refugees in Turkey and people of Afghanistan who live here,” said Noor Ahmad Yourtadash, an Afghan journalist.

According to Turkey’s Supreme Election Council, Erdogan secured 52.14% of the votes. Kilicdaroglu received 47.86%.
