ISLAMABAD: According to the reports of Baaghi TV, former President Asif Ali Zardari received Rs. 40 to 45 lakhs for appointments to important posts in the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), including pilots.

The revelations of the former Air Marshall Syed Qaiser Hussain Shah exposed the corruption of the civilian governments. According to the former Air Marshall, no effort was spared in destroying the national airline, during to tenure of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government led by Asif Ali Zardari famously known as Mr. 10%, .

Syed Qaiser Hussain Shah says that while I was working as SASO Southern Air Command with then Air Vice-Marshal (AVM) Mushaf Mir, I was instructed by the AVM to investigate recruitments in PIA, including pilots and other important staff appointments.

Syed Qaiser Hussain Shah says that he was working as an assistant in these investigations, with regard to compiling and maintaining documents and other records.

He also said that at that time it was found out that a bribe of Rs 40-45 lakhs was received for pilots and other such important posts. It also came to light at the time that Asif Zardari had received so much Indian money in exchange for a final call and medical fitness.

Syed Qaiser Hussain Shah says that I remember that at that time this record was also sent to the Ministry of Defense.
