Jhelum: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistan Zulfi Bukhari has said that pensions will be delivered to the elderly at home from September 1.

According to the reports, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Overseas Pakistan Zulfi Bukhari while addressing the inauguration ceremony of EOBI office in Khyora said that the pension has been increased to Rs 8,500 in two years. From September 1, the elderly will be given a pension at home, their pension will come directly to the private bank.

Zulfi Bukhari said that EOBI is being digitized to eradicate corruption, companies with 2,000 employees used to register 200 employees, there are corrupt elements in our own company, we will catch one by one, last three months I have accumulated 30 billion rupees.

He said that informal employment was being brought in EOBI, kiln workers and women working in the fields would also be entitled.

The Special Assistant said that in the last two years, 13,000 people have been sent abroad from Jhelum. Overseas workers will also be able to avail the benefits of EOBI.Under the new system, every employee will be able to register himself in EOBI.

Later, Zulfi Bukhari said in his message on social networking site Twitter that today he fulfilled his promise to Pind Dadan Khan to set up an EOBI office.

He said that wallet account facility is also being provided to EOBI pensioners, payment from wallet account, credit on bank loan will be facilitated, credit facility will also be provided on financial transactions from wallet account.
