Shilpa Shetty issues an official statement on Raj Kundra’s scandal

Lahore, 2nd August: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has issued an official statement about her husband Raj Kundra’s pornographic scandal.

According to details from the Indian media, Shilpa Shetty breaks her silence on her husband’s Raj Kundra arrest in an alleged pron case on Monday.

It may be recalled that an Indian businessman and Shilpa’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai police on July 19 from his Juhu residence for allegedly producing pornographic films and distributing them on an App called Hot Shots.

Shilpa Shetty broke down after arguing with Raj Kundra during raid

Shilpa posted her statement on both her social media accounts, Instagram and Twitter saying that there have been lots of rumors and accusations in the past few days.

Shetty said, “There are a lot of aspersions cast on me by the media and (not so) well-wishers as well. A lot of trolling has been posted against me and my family.”

“I have not commented yet and will continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice, so please stop attributing false quotes on my behalf,” added the actor.

The 46-year-old Bollywood star said that she has full faith in the Indian judiciary system and Mumbai police. She informed that as a family they are taking recourse to all their legal remedies.

Meanwhile, Shetty requested, “I request everyone, as a mother, to respect our privacy for my children’s sake and request you to refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same.”

Shilpa Shetty ended her message by adding, “I am a proud law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional for the last 29 years. People have put their faith in ME & I’ve never let anyone down. So, most importantly, I request you to respect my family’s and ‘my right’ to privacy in these times. We don’t deserve a media trial. Please let the law take its course.”

Raj Kundra Sent to Police Custody in Pornography Case

Earlier on Friday, Baaghi TV reported that Shilpa Shetty filed a case in Mumbai’s High Court against some publications and social media apps including Facebook and Instagram for publishing defamatory comments against her.

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty has maintained that her husband Raj Kundra is not involved in producing pornographic content instead he makes erotica, stating that both are not the same.
