Lahore, 11th August: People and lawyers living abroad expressed their support to Pakistan’s renowned anchorperson Mubasher Lucman regarding the threats and legal notices he received while actively reporting the Noor Mukadam murder case.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, after Zahir Jaffer’s lawyer sent legal notice and threats to investigative journalist Mubasher Lucman for raising his voice in the Noor Mukadam murder case, a large number of Pakistanis living abroad announced their support for him.
According to reports, overseas Pakistanis have also telephoned the anchorperson and assured him of their full support.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani community living in Australia has announced its support for Mubasher Lucman. The community claimed that if any notice came from Zahir Jaffer’s family or friends, the British lawyers would stand with Mubasher Lucman.
Speaking on the case of Noor Mukadam, the President of the Australian Association, Ijaz Khan, said that if the accused, Zahir Jaffer escaped from the courts of this world by using his money or reference, then he will be punished in the court of Allah.
Sending a message to the police, Ijaz Khan said, “Police must investigate this case honestly in the name of Allah.”

In his message to the lawyers, Khan said that it is time to test your ethics now. You must fight this case with full force and honesty as one day you will be answerable in Allah’s court.
Concluding his video message, Ijaz Khan thanked Mubasher Lucman and said, “Thank you very much for standing up for this case. My full support and the support of our entire Pakistani community are with you. May Allah be your supporter and helper.”

Similarly, citizens from other countries including Saudi Arabia, the USA, Germany, Norway and Canada have also expressed solidarity with Mubasher Lucman.

It is pertinent to mention that since the beginning of the case, Mubasher Lucman has raised his voice against the accused Zahir Jaffer, so much so that he was sent a legal notice by one of Zahir’s friends. The threats and legal notice received by the anchor have not dampened his spirits and he stands firm to support the Noor Mukadam case.
It is to be recalled that 27-year-old Noor Mukadam, daughter of the former ambassador was brutally killed in Islamabad on July 20 at the residence of a famous businessman Zahir Jaffer, who later beheaded her.
