Coronavirus: Minister of Health gives important update

Islamabad (3rd Mar, 2020): Former Director Health System, World Health Organization (WHO), Zafar Mirza, confirms latest updates on Coronavirus in Pakistan.
According to reports, since its initial outbreak in China’s Wuhan region, the coronavirus has spread to more than fifty countries across the globe. Pakistan is among those affected by the novel coronavirus, identified as COVID-19.

The virus which can be transmitted by three basic means especially affects people who may have been recently ill. The first confirmed case of Coronavirus in Pakistan came forward last week when reports came that a student had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

According to latest reports of Baaghi TV, Zafar Mirza who is currently posted as the State’s Health Minister, has taken to Twitter to confirm that there are five confirmed cases across Pakistan, in the federal areas.

In his recent tweet, he states that the patient is “stable and being managed well”. He adds that the media should respect the “privacy of the patient and the family” as they work to overcome the virus.
