RAWALPINDI: The Aviation Division of Pakistan has given clearance to 95 per cent of Pakistani pilots working in foreign airlines.
According to details, the Aviation Division has given a clean chit to 95 per cent of Pakistani pilots working in airlines of seven different countries. However, the verification process of the rest is under process and will be completed next week.
The issue of ‘suspicious’ licenses caught the world’s attention after the country’s aviation minister revealed that nearly a third of Pakistani pilots possess ‘fake’ licenses. Shortly afterwards, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) grounded its 107 pilots on suspicion of having fake licenses and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) began the process of verifying their licenses.
