Air Force Group Captain Asim Martyred While Saving Woman from Abduction Attempt

A Pakistan Air Force Group Captain, Asim, was martyred after reportedly intervening in an attempted abduction incident near Ninth Avenue in the federal capital.
According to initial reports, the officer was passing through the area when he noticed a motorcyclist allegedly trying to forcefully take a woman along. Acting on instinct and as a responsible citizen, Group Captain Asim stopped and intervened at the scene.
The situation escalated when the woman managed to break free and move away from the suspect. Shortly afterwards, the alleged attacker, identified as Saad, reportedly engaged in a verbal altercation with the officer and opened fire, injuring him critically.
Group Captain Asim succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while the suspect fled the scene.
Police sources stated that the woman involved has confirmed the suspect was a colleague who had offered her a ride but allegedly changed the route and attempted to take her elsewhere against her will, leading to a struggle.
Law enforcement agencies have launched a search operation to apprehend the suspect.
The martyred officer leaves behind a widow, a son, and a daughter. His act of bravery has been widely praised, with tributes pouring in across the country.
