Editorial & Fact-Checking Policy
Our newsroom code of journalistic ethics, multi-tier fact verification protocols, impartiality principles, and reporting standards.
Effective / Last Updated: May 2026
1. Fact-Checking & Verification Protocol
Accuracy is the cornerstone of Baaghi TV. Every news dispatch undergoes multi-tier fact-checking before publication:
- Primary Sourcing: Direct cross-examination with official gazettes, court records, verifiable documents, and on-the-record spokespersons.
- Corroboration: Sensitive claims or investigative leaks require independent corroboration from multiple credible sources before publishing.
- Digital Verification: Forensic inspection of user-generated videos, images, and social posts to prevent deepfakes or recycled media.
2. Right of Reply & Impartiality
Whenever an article contains critical allegations concerning an individual, official, or institution, our journalists make verified attempts to seek their official stance prior to publication.
If a response is not received before deadline, the article explicitly notes that comment was requested and remains pending.
3. Plagiarism & Originality Standards
Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. All investigative analyses and reporting must be original. Attribution of secondary wire services (Reuters, AP, APP) must be crystal-clear.
4. Graphic Content & Sensitive Imagery
Baaghi TV strictly prohibits the publication of gratuitous, grotesque, or bloody visuals. Human dignity is respected above sensationalism, and appropriate viewer discretion advisories are attached to sensitive investigative segments.
5. National Integrity & Public Interest
Our coverage defends the sovereignty, public welfare, and constitutional values of Pakistan. We reject extremist narratives, sectarian provocations, and unverified anti-state disinformation.
