ANF Cracks Down on Drug Trafficking Near Educational Institutions, Arrests Three Suspects

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its nationwide crackdown against drug trafficking, particularly around educational institutions, conducting multiple operations in different cities and arresting three suspects.

According to an ANF spokesperson, two operations resulted in the recovery of 4.95 kilograms of narcotics worth more than PKR 1.2 million, while three individuals were taken into custody.

In a major operation near a university in Rawalpindi, ANF officials intercepted a vehicle and recovered 4.5 kilograms of crystal meth (Ice). Three suspects were arrested during the raid.

During initial investigations, the arrested individuals reportedly confessed to supplying narcotics to students of educational institutions.

In Peshawar, ANF officials seized 450 grams of hashish from a parcel at a courier office during a separate operation.

The ANF spokesperson said that cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway to identify additional individuals involved in the drug trafficking network.

The ANF reiterated its commitment to eliminating drug trafficking and protecting students and young people from the dangers of narcotics.
