Apple unveils its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, at the ‘Surprise and Shine’ event

Apple has officially launched its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo, during the ‘Surprise and Shine’ event held on Wednesday. The device is set to go on sale soon and will be available in two colour options: Star White and Night Sky.

The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple’s latest A20 Pro chipset, built on a 2nm process. The same chipset also powers the newly announced iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

In Pakistan, market estimates put the starting price of the base 256GB model at around Rs 700,000–787,000. Higher storage variants are expected to cost approximately Rs 870,000 for 512GB, over Rs 1 million for 1TB, and up to around Rs 1.28–1.3 million for the top 2TB configuration. Final retail prices may vary depending on PTA approval, import duties, and seller premiums, and are likely to be highest in the initial period of availability.

Pre-orders are expected to begin in mid-October, with the device becoming available later that month in select markets.
