China issues guidelines to promote ‘socialist values’
Chinese authorities have reportedly issued guidelines to promote “socialist values” through China’s cyberspace. According to international media reports, the specifications which were proposed by the central committee of the ruling Communist Party, are focused on promoting a ‘civilized’ space on the internet.

According to SPUTNIK INTERNATIONAL, the guidelines are set to provide the Chinese people with “decent ethical standards” and a “healthy” online personality. Moreover, according to the government’s portal, they will enable prevention in cybercrime cases.
The Chinese authorities reported that they would also be prohibiting “abnormal aesthetics” to be broadcast on the radio and television.
Under the proposed guidelines, China will be monitoring news sites and other online platforms to encourage core socialist values accepted by the Chinese administration.
