Complete travel ban to and from India imposed: Fawad Chaudhry

Lahore, 28th April: A complete ban has been imposed on traveling to and from India after the worsening situation of coronavirus in the neighboring country.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry announced on Wednesday that any type of travel to and from India has been imposed after the alarming increase in coronavirus cases there.

The minister took to Twitter to share the news.

He tweeted, “In view of the deteriorating situation of coronavirus in India, there is a complete ban on imports from India.”

He added that since the third week of April, the ban was already in force and it has been fully implemented. Furthermore, preparations are being made in this regard.

He also informed if the COVID situation does not improve within Pakistan, then strict measures will have to be taken soon.

It is to be noted that NCOC has recommended imposing a complete lockdown in major cities of Pakistan where coronavirus SOPs are violated.
