Rescue centers have been established at Army Public School (APS) and Army School of Logistics Kuldana by the Pakistan Army, in order to facilitate and rescue thousands of tourists in Murree. 

According to reports of Baaghi TV, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that a control division has been established in Murree to better facilitate the victims of the Murree snowfall and traffic blockage which has resulted in the deaths of twenty-one people with more deaths expected in the coming hours.

According to the ISPR, rescue centers have been established at APS and Army School of Logistics to provide help and essential aids to those stranded in Murree. “Cooked food, POL being provided to people. All camps have been provided with heating arrangements”, ISPR.

In addition to this, heavy machinery and army engineers have been deployed along with FWO personnel to continue the rescue operation and assist the tourists. “Where machinery can’t reach, troops have been moved and they are clearing traffic and opening roads”, ISPR.

Meanwhile, a crisis management cell has been established at Kalabagh near Nathiya Gali to ensure a safe rescue operation and/or to assist visitors stuck in near vicinity to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Base Kalabagh. According to reports, the PAF Base has issued emergency service numbers in case, “anyone’s relative or known person is stuck in [the] near vicinity of Kalabagh”. The PAF Base can be contacted on: 0323-9418252 or 0321-8838444 for help specific to medical, food, shelter, evacuation needs, respectively.
