CM Sindh inaugurates infectious diseases hospital in Karachi

Karachi, 10th March: As per the reports of BaaghiTV, a close relative of CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has been infected with the coronavirus.

Aziz Syed Mehdi Shah, a close aide of Chief Minister Sindh, has also succumbed to the coronavirus and has been shifted to the hospital. It is reported that Syed Mehdi Shah had returned from Syria a few days ago.

It is speculated that the holidays in schools in Sindh are being extended in view of the outbreak of the coronavirus. The Health Department has also suggested that the Chief Minister should keep the educational institutes closed for a long time. An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho and an advisory will be issued today to avoid large public gatherings.

It may be recalled that 16 cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the country, out of which 13 have been confirmed in Karachi, 2 in Islamabad and one case has been confirmed from Gilgit-Baltistan. A young man named Yahya Jaffrey has been discharged from the hospital after recovery, while all the other victims are under treatment.

Coronavirus: First case reported positive in Karachi

Assistant Special Health Dr Zafar Mirza has said that 289 suspected cases of the coronavirus were tested from across the country. On his visit to PIMS Hospital, Dr Zafar Mirza also visited the coronavirus-based isolation room. Mirza said that every possible step is being taken to save the public from the coronavirus.
