Coronavirus: Punjab Government closes schools

Lahore, 13th March: The government of Pakistan has announced the closure of all educational institutions across the country by April 5 amid the outbreak of coronavirus.

The federal government has decided to close nationwide educational institutions by April 5th due to the coronavirus.

In a message posted on social networking website Twitter, Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that the decision to close the educational institutions was made during the meeting of the Security Committee.

The universities, madrassas and schools will remain closed till the 5th of April. Shafqat Mahmood said that the Ministry of Education will review the situation on March 27th regarding the closure of educational institutions.

22 patients have erupted in Pakistan from coronavirus virus and foreign cricket players, who have come to Pakistan for PSL matches, have also confirmed their return tickets. Similarly, the rally gathering in Raiwind has also been cancelled.

It has been reported that 22 cases of coronavirus have been detected so far in the country, out of which 16 have been confirmed in Karachi, 2 in Islamabad while 3 have been confirmed from Gilgit-Baltistan and one from Balochistan. Yahya Jaffrey, a resident of Karachi Karachi, has been discharged from the hospital after recovery, while all the victims are under treatment.
