Court Orders Youth to Pay Woman as Compensation for Hurting her Feelings
A bizarre incident has been reported from Abu Dhabi, UAE where a woman filed a lawsuit against a man who hurt her feelings through text messages.
A woman came forward with a bunch of text messages from a man who insulted her, her feelings and blamed her of having relationship with different other men. He accused her of trying to seduce him.
Due to such treatment, the woman demanded court to compensate her with DH20,000 for the pain she had to go through because of those messages.
The man ended up requesting the court to reject the case as she owed him Rs 1.6 million which she planned to negotiate.
The court responded that the incident inflicted moral damage to the woman’s feelings and ordered the man to pay her an amount of Dh20,000 in addition to legal fees and charges.
