COVID-19: Punjab Records Highest Toll in the Country

Lahore, 17th April: Pakistan has seen an increase in Coronavirus patients. The total number of patients has increased to 7,125 and the death toll has increased to 135.

In the last 24 hours, 497 cases of Coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan, while 11 have been reported as deceased.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, with the addition of 25 new cases, the total toll has risen to 3,301 in Punjab Province. Lahore records the highest number of cases in Punjab, 6 new cases add up the toll to 541.

There is a steady increase in the cases in Gujranwala, the number has reached up to 60, with the addition of 10 new cases.

Pandemic: Coronavirus death toll rises in Pakistan

In Rawalpindi, the toll has reached 138 after 2 new cases were recorded. 1 each case has emerged in Jhang and Qasur.

5 cases from Tablighi Jamaat were detected, increasing the number of infected persons from the Tablighi Jamaat to 1,262.

The country is under a lockdown till the 21st of April, with some ease to certain sectors, including the construction sector, the agricultural sector, tailors, barbers and stationery shops with time restrictions.
