Dawat-e-Islami Member Arrested for Asking Babari Masjid Address
A Dawat-e-Islami Member was arrested for asking Babari Masjid address.
According to reports, a man who asked for the address of Babari Masjid in India was arrested.
The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh, where the construction of the Ram temple in place of Babri Masjid is taking place after a Supreme Court verdict. Yesterday, when a man asked the policemen in Ayodhya about the Babari Masjid, the policemen were surprised and arrested the man, according to the Indian news agency.
Police said that a man named Bilal near Ram Temple asked for the address of the Babari Masjid while being near the location. At the same place, the Ram Temple was being built right in front of his eyes.
Police said that Bilal was arrested doubting his intentions. The perpetrator was shifted to a police station from where he was taken by India’s National Investigation Agency for further investigation. Bilal is reportedly from Moradabad and reached Ayodhya three days ago. He told the police during the investigation that he was an activist of Dawat-e-Islami and when he asked the workers of his institution about the Babari Masjid, he was told that now a temple is being built there. He had wanted to see where the Babari Masjid was.
The Supreme Court of India, while pronouncing its verdict on the Babari Masjid case, said that the Sunni Waqf Board should be given 5 acres of alternative land, which would be given to Muslims for their mosque. Hindus would also be given alternative conditional land.
The Supreme Court of India said that the Ayodhya land did not belong to any party and ordered for alternative land to be given to Muslims. The disputed land would be given to Hindus, to Ram Bhumi Nyas. A temple will be built in the disputed area.
