DC Islamabad addresses media after launch of Pakistan's first PVC

In a bid to ensure transparency in the real estate sector, the district administration of Islamabad has unveiled the very first Property Verification Center (PVC) in the federal capital.

According to the details, the verification centre will allow the residents to invest in real estate projects and housing schemes that have been verified by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office and declared legal as per the laws of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Islamabad, Muhammed Hamza Shafqaat said, “the verification center will allow a purchaser to check the legal status of the plot before closing a deal.”

The PVC encompasses all the data provided by the DC Office which will help to bring transparency in the real estate sector, he further added.

For the purpose of inquiry, a form must be filled by the purchaser and the legal status of a property will be communicated within twenty four hours. In addition, strict action has been announced against all illegal residential and commercial projects underway.
