Dengue spreads across Sindh, 24 new cases reported #Baaghi

SINDH: In the last 24 hours, 55 dengue cases have been confirmed in Sindh out of which 24 cases are related to Karachi.

According to the details, according to the Sindh Health Department, 25 cases were reported in Hyderabad in 24 hours, 2 in Matiari and Umerkot, 2 in Tharparkar, and one in Ghotki. Meanwhile, 501 dengue cases were reported in Sindh in November. In Sindh, 1,864 cases have been reported in October.

According to Baaghi TV reports, Sindh reported 603 dengue cases in September. Moreover, between January and August, 1,365 dengue cases were confirmed in the Sindh province. This year, the number of cases in Sindh has exceeded 4,209 with reports of 15 deaths.

Dengue is a viral fever caused by a mosquito bite. Its common symptoms include vomiting, severe headache, nausea, itching, joint pain, muscle aches, eye pain, and swelling.

If the symptoms are not treated timely, major problems like fatigue, blood in the vomit, persistent vomiting, bleeding gums, anxiety, and severe abdominal pain can occur. There is no specific treatment for dengue as yet, however, doctors currently practice managing the symptoms as a treatment for patients suffering from dengue.

Foods to help Manage Dengue Fever: 

1. Fenugreek

Fenugreek or Methi as it is locally known helps the patient to recover quicker. Soaking fenugreek overnight in water and taking it in the morning is known to work wonders.

2. Juices

3. Neem Leaves / Indian Lilac

Neem Leaves also referred to as Nimtree or Indian Lilac are known for their medical properties. They can help to stop the spread of the virus in the body. Also known for increasing the blood platelets of the patients. It is suggested to add ground neem leaves in water.

4. Papaya / Papaya Leaves

Papaya or Papaya leaves are the best treatment for dengue fever. This unlikely fruit helps to relieve symptoms, boost immunity, and increase platelet count. The best way is to eat the fruit, however, the patient can grind its leaves and add to water. It is suggested to drink it twice a day.

5. Coconut Water

Dengue can cause vomiting which can lead to dehydration. To avoid this you can add coconut water to your diet.
