Lahore, 18th May: United Arab Emirates has given permission to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to hold the remaining PSL matches in Abu Dhabi.

ECB obtained clearance from the UAE authorities and conveyed their message on Tuesday to PCB it anxiously waited for the decision.

According to the latest reports, PCB is now working out a plan on how to safely manage the matches in view of the coronavirus situation.

The main focus is now on transporting the players safely to Abu Dhabi and reaching out to the respected franchises to apprise them about the COVID-19 SOPs which they will need to follow strictly while in the UAE.

The UAE authorities have made it mandatory for all the players, crew members and officials to undergo a 10-day quarantine period after arriving.

However, it is still not clear whether the matches will be played in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

It is pertinent to mention here that in early March, PSL 6 was postponed after some players and crew members contracted the coronavirus.

Only 14 matches of the sixth edition were played in Pakistan when the pandemic forced the PCB to postpone the other 20 matches of the series.
