Freedom of Expression against Islam is an offense to 1.5 billion Muslims, says PM Imran Khan

Prime Minister of Pakistan has said that Islamophobia is the cause of hatred and instability between religions. The world needs to pay attention to the growing incidents of Islamophobia.
The Prime Minister said that in order to make the international community aware of this sensitivity, we must work together to show the world how much we respect the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the Holy Qur’an. We need to protect the sanctities of religions around the world.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is committed to tolerant and respectful relations with all countries of the international community. The OIC should make a concerted effort to reveal the true identity of Islam to the world.
It may be recalled that the European Parliament had on Thursday passed a resolution calling for a review of the GSP Plus status granted to Pakistan.
The resolution said that the country had laws that violated minorities and fundamental rights.
The Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman said that Pakistan is a parliamentary democracy with a vibrant civil society, independent media and an independent judiciary which guarantees the fundamental rights of all citizens of the country without any discrimination.
