After arresting the main suspect and seizure of the rental vehicle used in the alleged gang-rape of an 18 year-old girl on the M4 motorway near Gojra, another shocking turn has come to light.
According to the details, Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Gojra, Waqar Ahmed, spoke about the progress of the case and highlighted several important revelations made during the investigation.
While talking to media, DSP Gojra Waqar Ahmed revealed that the 18 year-old victim girl and the plaintiff were collecting money by trapping people on the Motorway M-4. Both, the victim and the plaintiff are allegedly members of an inter-district gang, Waqar Ahmed said.

According to the DSP, the alleged victim and the plaintiff had planned to file a case of abuse and demanded Rs 5 million from the accused. His group has earlier received huge amount of money from people in 2 cases.
Background to the alleged gang rape case
According to DSP Mian Waqar Ahmed, a case of gang rape was registered on October 10, 2021 in City Police Station on the complaint of the victim’s aunt. The girl’s aunt said that her niece was allegedly raped by unidentified men on the M4 Motorway in Gojra under the pretext of giving her a job at a shop.

She said that when they reached there, the accused put the young woman in the car and took her away and raped her on the motorway. The girl’s aunt told in the First Information Report (FIR) that there was a woman and 2 men in the car in which her niece was taken. The accused gang-raped my niece on the motorway and dumped her at Faisalabad Interchange, she added.
