An unidentified gunman opened fire on convoy of trucks carrying NATO supply in the Khyber tribal district on Friday injuring one person.
According to reports of Baaghitv, An unidentified gunman opened fire on the convoy of trucks carrying supply for NATO troops in the Khyber tribal district on Friday. The firing incident took place at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border near Takhta Baig check-post. The firing resulted in injuring one person, the driver of truck.
Police have started the search for arresting the attackers as the unidentified gunmen fled the scene after injuring the driver. The driver was shifted to nearby hospital where doctors reported he is out of danger.
It must be noted that Pakistan is the important transit-country for the supply of weapons and other products to NATO troops stationed in land-locked Afghanistan for many years since the US-led war against terrorists started in Afghanistan, following the attacks on World Trade Centre on September 9, 2001.
