Iffat Omar grilled for her flirtatious comment about a veteran actor
Lahore, 10th September: Pakistani actress and host Iffat Omar is being criticized for her indecent remarks about a senior actor.
According to reports of Baaghi TV, Iffat Omar has come under the radar by the public about making derogatory remarks about Pakistan’s renowned veteran actor Rahat Kazmi.
In her web show, Iffat admitted that she deliberately took retakes during the shooting of the play to hug Rahat Kazmi, the actor of the ‘Dhoop Kinaray’ fame.

Since a couple of days back, the videos from Iffat Omar’s famous digital program ‘Say It All With Iffat Omar’ have been circulating on social media. The videos are creating vibes not for their positive content but for some controversial statements made by the host and one of her guests.

Yesterday it was the actor Nauman Ijaz criticized for his remarks on having extra-marital relations without the knowledge of his wife and now the host herself is being scrutinized over her comments on Rahat Kazmi which have not gone well with the audience.
In one of her program’s episode with Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman, Iffat confessed that though Rahat Kazmi was playing her father’s role, she kept on hugging him. She further expressed that he did not know about her intentions then.

“I did this just out of admiration, I had to do it, It was a dream come true for me,” she elaborates.
The incident took place during the shoot of her drama ‘Nangay Paon’ with Rahat Kazmi, where she was desperately trying to get the senior actor’s attention.

Netizens have come forward to slam Omar for it, calling her a fake devotee of the #MeToo movement.

Reposting the same clip of Omar, show host and producer Ovais Mangalwala wrote on his Twitter account, “If this was said by a man, he would have lost all respect and everyone would have been cursing him. But coming from a lady, why is everyone just enjoying it? Is this not “Me Too”?”

Journalist and motivational speaker Maleeha Hashmey expressed grave disappointment in Iffat Omar. She wrote, “Remember how Iffat ridiculed me for “exposing” Aurat March and now she’s exposing the MISUSE of the #MeToo movement herself.”

It may be recalled that Iffat Omar disapproved of the singer Ali Zafar being presented with the Pride of Performance Award earlier this year. “Only in Pakistan, an alleged harasser gets an award backed by the Govt. Nowhere else in the 21st century. #PakistanZindabad,” she posted on August 17.
There was a time when the actress spoke against Ali Zafar, but now people on social media are bashing Iffat Omar for misusing the MeToo movement and being the harasser herself!
