Lahore, 7th April: Pakistani actress and host Iffat Omar makes a much-needed apology after she received severe backlash at her recent move.

Baaghi TV reports that Iffat Omar has apologized after she was criticized for getting the COVID-19 vaccine out of turn.

In a recent turn of events, a video went viral on social media during early March, where the actress was seen getting the COVID-`19 jab alongside Federal Minister Tariq Cheema and his family.

People raised their voice against the special treatment imparted to the actress by the minister getting the corona vaccine before their turn.

Omar took to her Twitter account on Tuesday and issued her apology.

She tweeted, “I am sorry. I am ashamed. I apologise from the bottom of my heart. I will repent.”

Iffat Omar shared her apology days after the video went viral, which was originally shared by Tariq Cheema’s daughter on her Instagram account.

Since then people had called out the actress for misusing her privileged position to acquire the vaccine when many Pakistani citizens are waiting for their turns to get vaccinated given the low availability of the jab.

According to the latest information, Iffat Omar has denied getting the second dose in future. When a user on Twitter asked her to get vaccinated for her next jab, she simply said no.
