Russian Foreign Minister meets COAS to discuss important issues

Lahore, 7th April: Russian Foreign Minister met with Pakistan’s Army Chief to discusses important issues.
Baaghi TV: According to reports of ISPR, the Russian Foreign Minister met with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Wednesday.
H.E Mr Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, COAS at GHQ, today. The visiting dignitaries acknowledged Pakistan’s achievements regarding the war on terror and its sincere efforts for regional peace and stability, especially in the Afghan peace process.

He said that Pak-Russia relations were moving in a positive direction and would continue to develop in various fields.
The Army Chief said that Pakistan values its relations with Russia and fulfils the desire to enhance bilateral military cooperation.
The Army Chief emphasized that Pakistan welcomes all the steps that can be taken to bring peace and stability in Afghanistan as it will benefit the entire region.
“We have no hostile plans against any country and we will continue to work towards a cooperative regional framework based on sovereignty, equality and mutual development,” he added.
