Indian High Commission lawyer excuses himself from Kulbushan case

April 8, 2021: According to the report of Baaghi TV, the case related to 5 Indian prisoners was heard in the Islamabad High Court.

Barrister Shah Nawaz Noon filed a miscellaneous petition in the High Court, Shah Nawaz Noon said in the petition that he did not have any power of attorney in the Kulbushan case. No statement can be made by the government. In the Jaspal case, the Indian High Commission had nominated me as a lawyer. The Jaspal case has become irrelevant after the release of the five prisoners. The court is requested to dispose of the Jaspal case.

In May last year, India had filed a petition in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) seeking stay of the execution of its spy Kulbhushan Yadav. The trial began on May 15 at the request of India, with the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, hearing the case from February 18 to 21 at India’s request.
