International Women's Day: Rights for Women Rights? #Baaghi

8th March is a day for women, the day of celebrating women’s rights, freedom, opportunity, and equality. The world’s women celebrate this day with full preparation for the accomplishment of women empowerment; protests are made.

All international organizations including United Nations Organization (UNO) and United Nations Women’s Rights strongly support this. The international and national press (Social, broadcast, and print media) provide full coverage to this campaign. Okay! This should be done and this is happening too. But the question is that do all women in the world – doesn’t matter they belong to which religion, culture, region or race, etc. have women’s rights? Definitely, the answer is ‘NO’ in so-called Secular Democratic India.

The recent incidents in Karnataka clearly show that women don’t have rights in India. They don’t have the freedom to education, life, dress, and freedom to move. India is constantly violating the articles, majorly article no.30, of the Univeral Declaration of Human Rights-1948 but unfortunately no action has been taken yet.

Likewise, Judiciary in India supports this ideology of the Indian executive [BJP] to ban “Hijab” for Muslim Women and “Wimple” for Christian Women, as the International Court of Justice (ICJ) keeps silent here. Not only UNO, UN Women’s Rights, or ICJ participate to keep silent, OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) also actively participates in the campaign of silence.

Educational problems are being faced by women in Democratic India – just due to Hijab/Wimple. To not speak for the rights of Indian or oppressed women is the dualism and hypocritical of the entire world. It seems that the international Organisations give the provisions for women’s rights theoretically not practically.

On the other hand, Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) practically gave rights to Arab women in the era of ignorance. Right to life, freedom, education, respect, dress, and the right to move. Before Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him), women didn’t have the aforesaid rights in Arabia, they were treated as slaves. Provision of Women Rights and Duties (Article no.8) in the “Khutbah-Hajjatul-Wida” clearly illustrates the rights for women.

Similarly, Muskan was alone before the extremist mob confronted her – no human or women’s Rights organizations raised voices for her. That’s why she raised the slogan “Allahu Akbar” to encourage herself and to face the radical group.”Mae ny Allahu Akbar ka Narah lgya kyon kh mae bht dar gi thi aur jb mae darti hon tu Allah ka nam layti hon”, said Muskan. Not only Muskan, but many other women are also facing the same problems and lack of fundamental rights in India.

It’s an appeal to the world, for God’s sake, to become the voice and take suitable action for the protection of rights for Christian as well as Muslim oppressed women in India. It’s a humble request to the world’s women to make protests for the protection of basic women’s rights for Indian women and those who are living anywhere in the world. If this happens, it would be possible for women to get “Rights For Women Rights” practically.
