Tehran, 22nd September: Iran is ready to exchange all prisoners with the US, says Iranian Foreign Minister.
Baaghi TV: Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has said that Iran is ready to exchange all prisoners with the United States. US sanctions are nothing new, they will not have a significant impact on their country.
Javad Zarif said this while talking to the Council on Foreign Relations in New York through video conferencing. He added that Iran’s courts were independent and that the government did not interfere in their decisions, and that the court had hanged the wrestler for murder.
Iran vows crushing response to US bullying
The United States and Iran have exchanged prisoners in the past, including two in December last year, including a US citizen accused of spying.
It should be noted that relations between the United States and Iran have been strained since 1979, and there have been several wars between the two countries, with the current US President Trump and Secretary of State Pompeo threatening to attack Iran in response. Iran also threatens to retaliate.
