Islam respects women in every relationship: Rehmat Hee Rehmat

In the Sehri program of ‘Rehmat Hee Rehmat’ Special Ramadan Transmission, the distinguished guests highlighted the position of women in Islam and said that the reason for reducing the status of women is actually due to the backwardness of Islamic teachings.

Islam has declared the daughter mercy and son a gift from Allah. Islam says that Heaven is under the mother’s feet. Similarly, he said that daughters will be the cause of taking a man to heaven. Islam has given a woman the right to inherit.

Explaining the status of women, Maulana Abdul Shakoor Haqqani said that the reason for the deprivation of women is the distance from religion. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Whoever has three daughters and has trained them well, he will be with me in Paradise.” Consent should be asked from daughters before marrying them off as our Holy Prophet (PBUH) had sought consent from Hazrat Fatima before her marriage to Hazrat Ali.

Allama Mousavi said that it is a tragedy that we treat our daughter as a flower while we put a heavy burden on the daughter of another when we bring her in the form of a daughter-in-law. However, she is the one who has to keep everyone happy. If we consider other’s daughters as our own then society will become a better place to live in.
