Israeli Air Chief likely to launch an attack on Iran’s nuclear program
According to Arab media, in a statement, the nominated Air Chief of the Israeli Air Force, General Tomar Barr, said that Israel has the capability to successfully attack Iran’s nuclear program in the near future or tomorrow.
General Tomer said that if necessary, Israel could successfully attack Iran’s nuclear program tomorrow. According to Arab media, General Tomer will take command of the Israeli air force in April.
“Israel could very easily destroy Iran’s nuclear program, it is only a thousand kilometers away from us, there is no reason for us to allow Israel’s nuclear program to continue,” he said.
US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan met with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Israeli Defense and Foreign Affairs Ministers in Tel Aviv on Wednesday. Sullivan arrived in Tel Aviv on a one-day visit yesterday. The purpose of the visit is to discuss Iran’s nuclear program.
Earlier, the White House announced that Sullivan would visit Israel and the West Bank for consultations on Iran and other issues. National Security Adviser Ayal Halata and his US counterpart Jack Sullivan are chairing a bilateral forum set up to discuss Iran and other regional issues.
A White House statement said, “The delegations discussed the need to address all aspects of the threat posed by Iran, including its nuclear program, destabilizing activities in the region and terrorist proxy groups.” He agreed that Iran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program posed a serious threat to regional and international peace and security. Sullivan, who is visiting Jerusalem, also briefed Israelis on the ongoing nuclear talks in Vienna, saying “the two sides exchanged views on how to move forward.”
The statement added that “officials reaffirmed that the United States and Israel are committed to ensuring that Iran never acquires a nuclear weapon.”
