IIOJK: A special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Jammu has issued a fresh non-bailable warrant against Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, who is currently in Pakistan.

The NIA had moved the court seeking the warrant, alleging that Saeed was providing weapons, funds and directions from Pakistan to terrorist groups operating in Jammu and Kashmir.

Special Judge Prem Sagar issued the order on September 8, taking into account Saeed’s continued absence and alleged efforts to evade arrest, according to the NIA.

The agency said Saeed, who has been designated as a terrorist in India under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), is deliberately avoiding arrest and remains in Pakistan.

This is the second non-bailable warrant issued against Saeed in the past two months. A similar warrant was issued against him in July in connection with the Pahalgam terror attack case.

The latest case originated from the arrest of a suspected operative in the outskirts of Srinagar in March 2026. During the investigation, authorities allegedly found links between the accused and Lashkar-e-Taiba and its front organisation, The Resistance Front (TRF).

The court has forwarded the warrant to the Deputy Inspector General of NIA, Jammu, for execution.

The allegations against Saeed are part of an ongoing investigation and remain subject to judicial proceedings.
