Javed Akhtar Mehmood. Secretary Housing South Punjab, said that the beautification plan in Taunsa is being implemented rapidly.
“Development work on four Pakistan Housing Authorities (PHA) schemes is in full swing. All public amenities are being provided in Taunsa Park. Huge sums of money are being spent on clean water and sewerage schemes.”
He expressed these views while inspecting and briefing PHA, Sewerage, Tuff Tiles, Lights, Hospital and Beautification Plan in Taunsa. Deputy Secretary Zahid Iqbal, DGPHA Saif-ur-Rehman, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Saad and Superintendent Engineer Malik Jawad were also present on the occasion.
Javed Akhtar further stated:
“The park in Taunsa is being set up on modern lines. The park will be made suitable for families. He further said that tiles and lights should be installed in a standard manner. To ensure tree planting in the city PHA and PHE have been given the task to plant trees on Indus Road Taunsa.”
Reviewing the ongoing development works in the park, he said that all public amenities should be provided in the park. Emergency measures are being taken to provide clean water in South Punjab. Resolving public issues is one of the priorities of the present government. On the occasion of his visit to Taunsa Hospital, Mr. Javed Akhtar mentioned that better facilities should be provided to the patients. Ambulance should be kept active. During his visit to the park, the Secretary Housing planted trees and prayed for national security.
