Supreme Court Judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa and his wife, Mrs. Sarina Isa, have tested positive for the COVID-19 and have quarantined themselves in their home.
According to reports, the Justice and his wife are now under quarantine in their home, and are undergoing treatment. A handout issued by the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s deputy registrar has confirmed the news.
The handout stated that their reports were issued by the National Institute of Health, wherein both underwent a test for the virus.
It is to be noted that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Justice Gulzar Ahmad has also undergone the tests for the virus, but has received a negative result each time. His family was also tested, but they all came back negative on April 14.
The family took the tests as part of the enforced precautionary measures after the SC’s naib-qasid tested positive for the disease.
Currently, as per the latest statistics given by the NCOC, the total tests done in the last 24 hours are 37,636, out of which 1841 turned out to be positive, amounting to a 4.89% positivity rate.
