K2 Airways Cargo Plane Crashes into Arabian Sea; All Five Crew Members Killed
A K2 Airways Boeing 737-400 cargo aircraft operating flight KTA1732 from Sharjah to Karachi has crashed into the Arabian Sea approximately 300 kilometers southwest of Karachi, with all five crew members confirmed dead.
The freighter, registered as AP-BOI, was carrying five Pakistani crew members. They have been identified as:

Co-Pilot: Faisal Jatoi
Engineers: Muhammad Hamid and Muhammad Arif Siddiqui
Loadmaster: Muhammad Taufeeq Khan
The aircraft disappeared from radar after the pilots reportedly mentioned a navigation issue. It then turned right and descended rapidly at rates between 15,000 and 22,400 feet per minute before losing contact about 155 nautical miles west of Karachi, near the Ormara area.
A major search and rescue operation involving Pakistan Navy vessels, Pakistan Air Force aircraft, and a merchant ship has been underway. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
