Kamran Khan Jailed for 15 Years Over Rape and Abduction of 12-Year-Old Girl

UK: A 44-year-old failed asylum seeker from Pakistan has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for a series of horrific sexual offences against an eight-year-old girl, including multiple counts of rape.

Kamran Khan, of Streatham High Road in Lambeth, south London, was convicted at Inner London Crown Court of ten sexual offences against a child under 13. These included two counts of rape of a child, four counts of sexual assault of a child, two counts of causing a child to watch a sex act, and two counts of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity. The abuse took place between September 2024 and July 2025.

The court heard that Khan groomed the young victim by exploiting family connections to spend time alone with her. He subjected her to repeated abuse, including raping her in her own bedroom and forcing her to watch pornography. He threatened the terrified child, warning that if she told anyone, her father would kill her.

Khan, who claimed he fled Pakistan due to persecution by an Islamic group over “un-Muslim activities,” pleaded not guilty to the charges. His decision forced the child victim to give evidence in court and relive the ordeal during the trial. A jury convicted him on all counts on January 15, 2026.

He was sentenced on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Inner London Crown Court to 15 years’ imprisonment, with an additional one-year extended licence period. Khan has also been placed on the sex offenders register, issued with a sexual harm prevention order, and a restraining order.

The Metropolitan Police released a mugshot of Khan following the sentencing, commending the courage of the victim and her family.This conviction has drawn attention amid ongoing public debate in the UK over asylum seekers and serious sexual offences.
